Hey all.

I'm using Alien Respawn to try to put my Aurora R3 back to where it was when I bought it back in 2011.

When i use the Respawn utility and try to write out the files to an external hard drive, the application takes about 11 minutes during which it tells me it is initializing the disk. Then I get an error message telling mt, and I quote:

"Operation cannot be completed. Please connect a different device to proceed with this feature."

Any ideas?

The original harddrive in my x51 was damaged so I had to get a new one. I bought this very similar one (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236339) from newegg. However everytime I install the harddrive i get a message on the screen saying "Internal Hard disk drive not found to resolver this issue, try to reseat the drive. No bootable devices." Me thinking it was the new hard drive that was also messed up, asked for a replacement from newegg. Which they did...

Hello Everyone!,
I bought my Alienware 15 R2 last fall and I been having this constant problem. When I use my laptop more than 3 or 4 hours (for gaming or even casual web surfing), my internet gets cut off.

Can anyone help me with a strange issue I'm having with my Alienware X51 R1? As well as the onboard Intel Hd graphics I have a discrete NVIDIA Geforce 645GTX which is connected to my monitor via HDMI. When trying to run the game Lord Of The Rings Online under Windows 10 I get an intermittent error saying that Directx cannot be initialised and the game won't run, sometimes the error pops up, sometimes not, also if I run DXDIAG it will say that the the Input tab cannot be displayed (or words...

Just got my EVGA GTX 1050ti from Fedx. Took all of 15 minutes to install. Running all 1080p Ultra settings in BF1. Seeing up to 70 fps and never drops below 58. Still smooth at 58 though. This card replaced my original GTX 760 which couldn't pull 30+ on Ultra. Good buy for 139 bucks.

Just got my 1050 from Fedx. Installed in 15 min. Fired up BF1....wow. Seeing 60+ on all maps at 1080p Ultra. Occasional dips to 58 but still smooth. Turning AA to FXAA high gets me 60+ and into 70s. Very nice $139.00 upgrade for 2 year old micro PC.

Hey guys

I'm replacing the CPU stock fan with a new better one. however, the shroud doesn't fit. Surprise surprise ¬_¬

BUUUUT - I have no idea where he's plugging those small fans into??? I have no spare plugs to connect my two little fans into, so what do I need to do? A splitter? But I don't know which one I need.

anyone know the real max on this as the R3's have 32GB, but a lot of people say this only takes makes 16gb and I as just wondering why?

I know 32g is a lot....I know. am just very curious and why a signature series with identical specs to me x51 r3 can only take 16 and not 32. both have i7 6700 (mines a K though).

Hello everyone, I'm currently planning on upgrading my X51 R1. Specs:

Intel i7 2nd gen
Nvidia gtx 555
330W psu

So I wanted to ask whether I need to change the motherboard (buy the R2 or R3 motherboard) and processor if I installed the 1050 Ti, or will it work just fine without changing anything?

P.S. I tried using the 1060 but the pc crashes while running games and it can't play them at ultra/high. It's probably the cpu/motherboard can't handle the gpu?

i have an alienware aurora r4 im going to be upgrading soon and have a few questions.

Current Specs are:

16 gb ram -- intel i7-3820 @3.6 GHz -- GTX 680 -- Nothing has been upgraded, bought from alienware so im assuming it came w/ the 875W PSU.

Planning to purchase an 1050 or 1050 TI for my alienware r2 but not entirely sure if i need to buy a new 330 psw for this or if my current one is enough since the 1050/1050TI has no connector and draws power just from the motherboard. But if i end up buying a 330w psw then a 1060 would be the choice id go for. Any reccomandation is appericated, thank you.

Hi guys, I have an alienware x51 R3 watercooled i7 6700k system and am looking to upgrade the graphics card without buying an amplifier and was wondering if anyone could recommend a GTX 1070 that would fit without much (pref any) mods to the case etc. Im looking at the zotac gtx 1070 mini (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Zotac-GeForce-1070-8GB-GDDR5-256-bit-Mini/dp/B01LLAJ8PU) but dont want to spend all that money to find out that it does not fit. Any help would be great.

Could someone please help me with the following. In computer management it is only showing 2tb of my harddrive. However my harddrive is 4tb. Intel RST shows the 4tb but computer management does not and it also does not show any unallocated space. How do i go about finding this unallocated space and just creating a partition?

Hi all, I have the Alienware 17R2 (2015 Early Edition). I was wondering how I can clean my laptop without taking it apart. The videos I have seen, I need to basiclly take the entire laptop apart to get to the CPU and GPU. I don not feel confident enough to do that myself. Can i use a vacuum on the vents?.

The laptop has 4 vents on the bottom, and 2 vents at the back. Any help at all would be great. Thank you.

I have an Alienware X51 R3 that I bought as part of an Oculus Rift bundle from Amazon.com. The Rift needs two USB 3.0 ports, 1 for the headset and 1 for the sensor. The upcoming Touch controllers require an additional sensor. I am trying to determine if my PC has enough USB 3.0 ports to support the additional sensor.

Hi guys,
I want to upgrade my i7 2670QM CPU to i7 2960XM.
But i am afraid about the hot temperatires.
I have IC Diamond7 thermopaste,but i nned your help.
Can i use 2960XM without overclocking normal?
Or it is so hot for my M17xR3 and my maximum is 2860QM?
